Blastin' and Castin' in the Texas Outdoors

We havea lot of good times, the road was a drug when we started way back, our wheels rolled on steady, now its forgetting the race to find an open space and leaving that city far behind We’ll be up in the morning before the sun, since anything beats working on the job and everyone knows the early worm gets the fish. The world is your oyster, let the high times carry the low, walk where the sun is shining, lay your burdens down and think to yourself that it sure feels good feeling good again.

what a bitch'in rod holder, I like how it holds your cooler in place in the back of the truck bed as well. Where did you ever get the idea?

I still can't start a new post. I emailed the head blogger-in-charge.

I built that rod holder a couple of weeks ago. It was inspired by yours but I actually invested a little money in mine. I bought a 2x10 ($8) and cut the corners off so it would fit. Then I found little plastic rod holders at academy. They were 2 for $7 but they came with Al brackets which made mounting them very easy. I also bought a can of spray paint.

About the trout:
I fished from about 5:30 until about 30 minutes before dark. I was standing on the second bar casting towards the third bar. The fish seemed to be pretty far out but I was getting good distance with a silver spoon. They liked it fast and shallow. I could have caught a limit if the minimum was 14.5". I had to squeeze the tail of the little one in the back to make him 15".
