Blastin' and Castin' in the Texas Outdoors

We havea lot of good times, the road was a drug when we started way back, our wheels rolled on steady, now its forgetting the race to find an open space and leaving that city far behind We’ll be up in the morning before the sun, since anything beats working on the job and everyone knows the early worm gets the fish. The world is your oyster, let the high times carry the low, walk where the sun is shining, lay your burdens down and think to yourself that it sure feels good feeling good again.

this extremely nice rig had a Texas EX sticker on it's back window that we noticed as we drove by laughing. We decided it would be fun to spread a little aggie cheer. I just hope that the unlucky longhorn got back before the tide came up and washed away our greeting.

I don't understand how he got stuck there. The sand should have been wet and hard packed? was there clay underneath the sand? did he have aggresive tread (mud tires) because I have heard they will dig in.

The message you left was classic.

The stuck truck was equipped with the overpriced BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires, not as knobby as mine but still rated for serious off-road action.

I believe the substrate is quite nearly what one would call quicksand.
I drove near the surf and I notice in the rear view mirror that I was leaving long wet tread marks behind me. It was very solid though the wet tracks made me nervous. Since Brian wasn't there to haul me out of any messes I chose to drive higher on the beach above the high water mark.

I suggest the following events took place. T-sip was driving along the water's edge and stopped for whatever reason. The tide was up and he had a couple of waves that washed up around his tires and sucked him down. Realizing he was about to get stuck, T-sip jumps back in his truck and steps on the gas. His offroad tires dig some nice holes in the wet sand and he is stuck.
