Blastin' and Castin' in the Texas Outdoors

We havea lot of good times, the road was a drug when we started way back, our wheels rolled on steady, now its forgetting the race to find an open space and leaving that city far behind We’ll be up in the morning before the sun, since anything beats working on the job and everyone knows the early worm gets the fish. The world is your oyster, let the high times carry the low, walk where the sun is shining, lay your burdens down and think to yourself that it sure feels good feeling good again.

Z - I'll have to double-check my box in Gause, but am pretty sure I used a Winchester 140 grain ballistic tip bullet. This is the same round that dropped the last porker.

In my defense, I consciously wanted Steve to get a hog this night and refused to let him touch the spot-light all evening long. Karma just stepped in the one instant he grabbed it from me.

So anyone heading to Matagorda this weekend? I doubt even the die-hard Brian will be heading to the coast and I strongly suggest a trip up to BCS with the SKS.

I was thinking about taking the plastic boat out for some surf fishing on Friday or Saturday morning but a category 4 storm might kick up the surf too much. What do you think?

Pig hunting would be fun. I'll give it some thought.

Brian, dont be a pussy, everybody knows the best fishing is right before a storm, they go crazy when the barometer is on the move. You'd be a fool not to get out there and at least try the fishing. Worst case senerio, you could just catch a wave and ride your yack up the Brazos to BCS, then go hunt. Maybe bring along the misses and yall could have a nice surf and turf dinner. Keep us posted.
