Blastin' and Castin' in the Texas Outdoors
We havea lot of good times, the road was a drug when we started way back, our wheels rolled on steady, now its forgetting the race to find an open space and leaving that city far behind We’ll be up in the morning before the sun, since anything beats working on the job and everyone knows the early worm gets the fish. The world is your oyster, let the high times carry the low, walk where the sun is shining, lay your burdens down and think to yourself that it sure feels good feeling good again.

I spent about 45 mins tryin to get those pics posted and they were either HUGE (think bolt handel covered entire screen) or showed up as a small box with a red X in it. Thanks for the assist Woody.
So the guns...top to bottom
Colt Officers Model .45
Rem 700 .308
Savage 110 .25-06
Rem 700 Sendero .22-250
and a new hat for the B.F.G.
Leupold 6.5x20x50mm
And the other picture is a view from my new hoggin spot...not too shabby. From the canyon rim, you can see Charles Goodnights old homestead. The house is still standing. The place is pretty sweet, no hunting...yet, give me some time and I'll get it under wraps and try to get a picture posted.
I like the looks of your new digs. I always enjoy hunting areas with drastic elevation changes. Going up and down can be tiring but the view from the top is worth the trip.
From the picture at least It looks surprisingly like the San Jauqin valley in California and 'the high desert' that lies between there and the coast.
What acreage is the new place? Seen anything out there yet other than footprints?
I'm cuttin work @ noon to go build a Kuder trap out there. Snared two small (25#) pigs so far. The trap will be a bit different than the Kuder trap, I have access to about 15 corrall pannels, I'm gonna wire hog pannel to about 10 of em and make a big trap that can be taken down and moved about. Should have a roport on it in about a week or so.
What did you do with the 25lbers?
Fed them to the Mt. lions. Wasnt sure how long they were in the snares, it was a kinda warm spell going on up here, didnt wanna chance it.
